Yuga Labs, the creator of the widely popular Bored Ape Yacht Club and Mutant Ape Yacht Club has been very busy these days working on the metaverse project Otherside. It is a whole new digital world that connects everyone that holds bored ape nfts to meet in this metaverse and lets them participate in multiple activities together. All the details aren´t revealed yet according to Yuga Labs but it has been hinted to be a “multidimensional experience” and a “collaborate creative canvas” for all of the members to explore. Now the latest news has involved the famous luxury brand Gucci when they released a tweet containing a picture of a bottle held by an ape and with a label displaying Koda, a character from within Otherside.

Metaverse´s Gucci News

There´s quite a little information about this collaboration so far but it seems they´ve planned a lot. They have a multiyear plan signed off and Gucci will be producing clothing for Yuga Lab’s metaverse. In the tweet, it told us to stay tuned for a new narrative, blurring the boundaries between the digital and physical which can hint at many things. The information given is that perhaps they will collaborate on fashion designs that can be worn by the in-game avatars. A way for users to show off their style and creativity to others in a virtual space. Yuga Labs might also want to experiment with integrating luxury goods and experiences into their NFT collections and NFT art. But the biggest clue may lie in the image that was tweeted, a potions bottle with Koda plastered on it. What it means, will probably be revealed shortly.

Not Just a Part of Bored Ape Yacht Club Metaverse

Gucci is no stranger to the metaverse, having worked together with the very popular gaming platform Roblox, where they created a virtual world called Gucci Garden. They have also started to accept cryptocurrencies in the North American region since they are very intent on creating the best experiences for their customers by experimenting with new technologies. Gucci has even launched NFT collections like the “SUPERGUCCI”, and Gucci Grail, and they have even purchased virtual land in the Sandbox metaverse. The metaverse even includes its own fashion week with showings of new trends both from the real world and the digital one.
