Moonpay to Launch a Loyalty Program

MoonPay to launch a loyalty program

The Plan Is to Be Ready Early This Year

The giant in Crypto payments MoonPay will be launching a soulbound NFT loyalty program early this year and they will call it Web3 Passport. The company has over 10 million customers who can all take part in this new program.

Everyone will be able to get access to different kinds of benefits ranging from sports, art, fashion and entertainment. Mostly thanks to high net-worth people who will buy NFTs in order to help the launch.

What Is Behind Moonpay?

The technological company MoonPay is advancing the convertings between cryptocurrency to regular currencies using everyday methods like credit and debit cards, bank transfers, Google pay, Samsung pay and even Apple pay.

Their goal is for everyone with cryptocurrencies to easily exchange or purchase with crypto but with regular paying methods. It’s supposedly a bridge that makes it more possible to start purchasing and using different crypto.

Using Bitcoin in a regular store might not be possible at the moment but if MoonPay succeeds with what they are planning we might actually see a significant change in that. Otherwise everyone will probably look back at it as a technical experiment.

Benefits and Expanding the Company.

“We´re becoming more of an American Express,” MoonPay CEO Ivan Soto-Wright said in an interview with The Block. “You have an obviously robust payments network and platform. But then you also have all the experiences. And so I think that’s kind of how we see us bridging both of these components of our business.”

MoonPay has many connections and partnerships with celebrities who all raised over 87 million dollars, to the company, many of which are themselves NFT buyers. These buyers are probably the reason for many of the benefits being in the specific subjects as stated above. The list includes people like Jimmy Fallon, Post Malone, Snoop Dogg, Paris Hilton, Justin Bieber and The Weeknd.

Last year they created a NFT based scavenger hunt together with Bored Ape Yacht Club and later on they created one with Universal studios. Later on Flamengo, one of Brazil’s largest sports clubs, commented on their multiyear deal with MoonPay. All of which could be included in the loyalty program Web3. So it seems like they have a big plan ahead.

The Launch

This year will be a great start for MoonPay and an exciting one to say the least. The launch of Web3 could mark them with a bigger audience and it will give more people insight into what they are trying to accomplish.
